The Metro Transit Authority is continuing to ramp up bus routes as officials there try to return to normal service.

Twenty-five routes and the Music City Star are up and running this week, and rides on all MTA vehicles are still free.

“Our staff has been working to get all buses back in service as quickly as possible,” MTA/RTA CEO Paul J. Ballard said. “We truly appreciate how helpful the Metro Nashville Public Schools and other Metro agencies have been during this difficult time. In addition, our transit colleagues have been extremely supportive in loaning vehicles to us so that we can continue to provide services.”

MTA has received loaner buses and other vehicles from state and regional partners.

Music City Circuit buses resumed routes to the Music City Star at Riverfront Station. They operate on a normal Saturday schedule.

The MTA headquarters was shut down due to flooding, and buses have been slowly returning to service. Sixty buses and vans are operating on the Saturday schedule throughout the city; the normal number is 147.
