Prospective buyer Foursquare Properties Inc. has released proposed, preliminary renderings for redevelopment of Bellevue Center.

The renderings confirm that Foursquare is considering razing virtually everything at the 57-acre site except for anchor stores, replacing Bellevue’s enclosed mall with a trendier lifestyle center.

Foursquare is currently in negotiations with the mall’s owner, Oaktree Capital, for ownership of Bellevue Center and the surrounding property. Foursquare and Oaktree are both based in California.

Bellevue community members and Bellevue Center mall tenants can discuss the preliminary plans with Foursquare and Metro government officials at a public meeting at 6:30 tonight at the Bellevue Middle School auditorium.

The purpose of the meeting is to update the neighborhood on progress on the purchase of the Bellevue Center mall property, and to solicit ideas from the community for the mall’s renovation, according to a statement from Foursquare.

Though no announcements regarding specific tenants are on the agenda, the project’s timetable and proposed tenant mix are expected to dominate the conversation.
