Fairfax joins Synovus Trust Co.

Terry Fairfax has joined Synovus Trust Co., located at The Bank of Nashville, as vice president and relationship manager in the Private Client/Trust Services Group.

Prior to joining Synovus, Fairfax was founding and managing attorney of the Nashville branch of the law firm of Boecker & Co. PC.

Fairfax is experienced in estate and business succession planning, as well as charitable planning for wealth management. He is a graduate of the University of Akron and University of Akron School of Law.

Mortgage Investors welcomes Stanfill

Mortgage Investors Group has announced that Cindy Stanfill is the newest member to join its loan origination team. Stanfill is working as a loan officer serving Davidson and Williamson counties and joins the company with more than 20 years experience in the mortgage industry. She attended George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., and studied business finance.

Civitas hires Pentecost as manager

Civitas BankGroup has hired Michelle Pentecost as vice president and manager of loan operations. Prior to joining Civitas, Pentecost was the commercial loan operations manager at AmSouth Bank.

Ozier joins CB Richard Ellis

Ann Ozier has recently joined the Global Corporate Services Team of CB Richard Ellis. Ozier, whose experience is focused in the marketing of multi-family investment properties, was previously associated with Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Firm. In her new associate position at CB Richard Ellis, Ozier works as a member of the Nashville Corporate Services team to provide real estate consulting to companies with a regional or local headquarters in Tennessee.

Ozier is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's of business administration.

Chamber announces three new hires

The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce announces three new additions to the organization.

Sarae Janes joins the Chamber as the communications coordinator. She will assist with daily communications and media relations. Before joining the Chamber, Janes was the marketing and business development coordinator at the law firm of Boult, Cummings, Conners & Berry. She received a bachelor's degree in public relations from Lipscomb University.

Cynthia McCord joins the Chamber as the database specialist in the membership and marketing department. She will be responsible for maintaining the organization-wide membership database. McCord most recently served as the director of gift records and accounting at Meharry Medical College. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry and a master's degree in education administration and supervision from Tennessee State University.

Shana Parrish joins the Chamber as the major events coordinator. She will coordinate major events such as the annual State of the Metro and business council events. Parrish recently relocated from Alpharetta, Ga., where she worked as an event manager for North Point Community Church. She attended Kennesaw State University with a major in sociology.

Wellness Environments appoints Gilliland

Wellness Environments Inc. announces the appointment of Paul Gilliland as vice president and chief financial officer. Gilliland is a five-year veteran of SmartDM Holdings Inc., which was recently acquired by Acxiom Corp., where he served as chief financial officer.

Gilliland began his career at BDO CPA'S in 1980, later moving to banking where he has served in financial roles of increasing responsibility during his tenure. His experience and competencies encompass raising capital, board and investor relations, bank and auditor relationship management, mergers and acquisitions, and financial/business planning.

Tractor Supply Co. names Barbarick VP

Tractor Supply Co., the largest retail farm and ranch store chain in the United States, has named Steve Barbarick vice president, divisional merchandise manager.

Barbarick, who joined Tractor Supply in 1998 as a buyer, was promoted to divisional merchandise manager-farm products in 2003. He has been instrumental in the development of the Farm Buying Team over the last two years.

Barbarick, a graduate of the University of Missouri, worked in the home center retail channel before joining Tractor Supply.

KVBPR adds Lewandowski and Davis

Katcher Vaughn & Bailey Public Relations Inc. has hired Cathy Lewandowski as senior account executive and Mary Elizabeth Davis as account executive.

Lewandowski brings 13 years of public relations, advertising, marketing and media development experience to KVBPR. Previously, she was senior account manager, public relations, at Gish, Sherwood & Friends Inc., and had key positions in corporate communications with the Nashville Predators and public affairs with Time Warner Cable in Austin, Texas. Lewandowski has a Bachelor of Arts degree in art and design from Iowa State University.

Davis joins KVBPR with four years of public policy and media relations experience in Indianapolis where she served in the press office of Gov. Frank O'Bannon. She also was an account executive for MZD Advertising, a full-service marketing firm in Indianapolis, where she handled public relations for Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation. Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and English from Indiana University.

IRIS Networks names Lewis as chief

The board of governors for Nashville-based IRIS Networks has named Willie Lewis its new chief manager.

Lewis brings almost 30 years of telecom industry experience to IRIS, most recently serving as the executive director of the Tennessee Telecommunications Association. His experience also includes South Central Bell (now BellSouth) and AT&T, in addition to serving as an industry consultant.

Le Baron joins Skyline Medical

Nancy Le Baron has joined Skyline Medical Center as director of Medical/Surgical Nursing and Nursing Systems. Le Baron comes to Skyline from Health First Palm Bay Community Hospital (PBCH) in Palm Bay, Fla., where she was nursing director.

While at PBCH, Le Baron was responsible for the Medical, Surgical, Progressive Care, Intensive Care, and Dialysis departments. She was influential in the addition of the hospital's inpatient dialysis unit along with the institution of bar code supply inventory and charging system.

Prior to joining PBCH, Le Baron served for six years at Humana Hospital Sebastian in Sebastian, Fla., as chief nursing officer.

She is a member of the American Organization of Nursing Executives and was the 2004-05 president for the Central Florida Organization of Nurse Executives.

Corrado joins Asurion

Tennessee-based Asurion has announced that technology industry veteran Chris Corrado has joined the company as senior vice president of product management and technology solutions. In his new position, Corrado will oversee three groups that currently exist within Asurion: IT, investment initiatives and product management.

Corrado has more than 20 years of extensive experience working in the wireless, high tech and financial services industries. Most recently, Corrado was the chief technology officer at eBay, overseeing site operations, information technology and security.

Prior to eBay, Corrado was the chief information officer of AT&T Wireless, where he oversaw the alignment of the company's technical infrastructure with its business strategy.

Webb joins ComFrame as manager

Barbara Webb has recently joined ComFrame Software Corp. as business development manager for the Tennessee office, headquartered in Nashville. Webb has more than 15 years of experience in new business development, key account management and operations. Formerly she was an account executive with US LEC of Tennessee, and prior to that, at Comdata Corp.

Pinnacle Financial Partners adds associates

Holly Burks, Mary Hall, Chamaine Harp, Brad Smith and Shelia Stroud have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners, the largest Nashville-based financial services firm.

Burks joins as mortgage advisor assistant. Burks comes from AmSouth Bank where she served as a mortgage loan processor. Prior to AmSouth, she served in a similar role at Synovus Mortgage Corp. Burks holds degrees from Middle Tennessee State University in information systems and from Nashville Tech for business administration.

Hall joins Pinnacle as assistant to two leadership team members. Hall comes from Cumberland Bank in Brentwood where she served in a similar role for its CEO. Hall attended Northeastern University in Tahlequah, Okla.

Harp brings nine years experience to her role of client service specialist at Pinnacle Brentwood. She comes from AmSouth Bank in Franklin where she served as a business banking assistant. Harp attended Middle Tennessee State University.

Smith joins Pinnacle as a commercial credit analyst. He comes from Integra Bank in Evansville, Ind., where he served as a credit analyst, environmental review officer and appraisal services manager. Smith holds a bachelor's degree of finance from the University of Kentucky.

Stroud brings 26 years of customer service experience to her role of service specialist. Prior to joining Pinnacle, she served as a teller for SunTrust Bank and as an associate retail service representative for Mattell Inc.
