Ingram Publisher Services promotes Stewart

Ingram Publisher Services Inc. has named Jim Stewart as vice president, business operations. In his new role, Stewart will oversee day-to-day operations, manage existing client relationships, and coordinate with Ingram's sales, finance, and customer care departments to enhance internal processes for improved client services. He is being promoted from within the Ingram organization, having recently held the position of vice president of E-commerce.

Before joining Ingram in 2000, Stewart served two years at buy.com, where he was in charge of fulfillment. Prior to that, he was director of applications at the United Methodist Publishing House, where he had a close relationship with Ingram as both a supplier and a customer. Stewart received a B.S. degree in mathematics from Appalachian State University.

Jones joins AmSouth mortgage department

AmSouth Bank announces the addition of Zachary Jones as a mortgage banking officer. His main responsibility will be to develop mortgage business in the Middle Tennessee area. In addition, he will be responsible for building relationships with realtors and builders.

Jones has previous experience in the financial services industry with Key Financial as a loan officer. He also has 17 years of counseling experience. Jones will be based at the Bellevue branch.

Rial named ThriftSmart store manager

ThriftSmart, a newly formed chain of thrift stores with a Franklin location currently open and a Nashville store opening in June, has named Chad Rial as the Franklin store manager. Rial has five years of retail management experience. He was former regional manager for Aaron's Inc., where he was responsible for managing 10 stores in Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.

Carnes promoted at Brentwood Services

Krista Carnes has recently been promoted to the position of account analyst at Brentwood Services Inc. (BSI), a specialty insurance brokerage firm based in Brentwood.

Carnes joined BSI in 2001 as a billing and audit coordinator, with responsibility for billing and audit functions for the brokerage department accounts receivables. In 2004, she was promoted to the position of assistant account manager. In this position, Carnes took several Internet insurance courses and obtained her property and casualty agent's license.

Prior to joining BSI, Carnes was an account coordinator for PENCO.

Peterson named VP at Cumberland Trust

Cumberland Trust & Investment Co. has promoted Amy M. Peterson from assistant vice president and trust officer to vice president.

Peterson joined Cumberland Trust following nearly three years as a manufacturer's representative in the automotive industry. Prior to that, she was a trust officer at SunTrust Bank. Peterson earned her undergraduate degree from Huntingdon College, Montgomery, Ala. She earned her M.B.A. from Belmont University.

Dees promoted to general manager at Bullseye

Chuck Dees, a seven-year veteran at Bullseye Marketing Research, has been named vice president and general manager of the firm. Previously the firm's director of sales and marketing, Dees is now responsible for developing new business, as well as designing and implementing music research projects for corporate level client stations in a variety of markets and music formats.

Dees began his 30-year broadcast career at KKJO in St. Joseph, Mo., while attending North West Missouri State University and earning a degree in mass communications. Upon graduation, he joined McDonald Broadcasting at WKCQ in Saginaw, Mich., and began his association with country music.

After working at three stations in Kansas City, Dees joined Burkhart/Abrams, becoming the firm's "turnaround specialist," working with a variety of stations in the B/A client group. His consulting career began in 1986 with the signing of WVEZ in Louisville, Ky.

Gibson Foundation appoints Pacunas

The Gibson Foundation recently announced the appointment of Charles D. Pacunas as executive director responsible for all philanthropic programs and initiatives under the direction and supervision of the foundation.

Pacunas will work with all Gibson Guitar divisions in implementing programs that deliver the objectives of the Gibson Foundation and provide support for music and education in various facets of the industry.

He brings over 40 years of leadership experience in advertising, marketing and production. Pacunas currently serves as senior vice president for special projects at Gibson. Prior to coming to Gibson, he served as vice president for global media and alliances, Burger King, Miami.

Wallace named a GM at McKendree Village

Terry P. Wallace has joined the staff of Sodexho Senior Services at McKendree Village Inc. as a general manager of facilities and engineering. Wallace is responsible for oversight of facilities and engineering for the entire 42-acre campus. He previously was employed as project superintendent at Riverbend Maximum Security Prison in Nashville.

Wallace has more than 18 years of technical and management experience, the majority of which has been spent involved in maintenance, construction and management of facilities. Wallace is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a B.S. degree in business management.

PayMaxx welcomes Mosley as manager

PayMaxx Inc., a national leader in payroll processing and an Internet payroll pioneer, recently appointed Leigh-Ann Mosley as marketing and communications manager.

Mosley will be responsible for the oversight of PayMaxx's marketing and public relations efforts. She joins PayMaxx from LifeTrust America, where she held various marketing positions during her six-year tenure. For the past three years, she served as marketing manager, spearheading all marketing and communications programs for the company and its 59 centers throughout the Southeast.

Mosley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee, with majors in marketing and logistics/transportation.

Fifth Third Bank adds Bishop

Fifth Third Bank N.A. has named Richard Bishop as retail investment consultant with the Investment Advisors Division. Prior to joining Fifth Third Bank, Bishop worked as a financial consultant for First Bank. Previous employers include Albany Bank & Trust (Georgia), First State Bank & Trust (Georgia), and Regions Financial Corporation.

Bishop received his bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama.

Fifth Third Bank hires Loeppky

Fifth Third Bank N.A. has added Gregory Loeppky as commercial relationship manager, Healthcare Corporate Banking. Prior to his career at Fifth Third Bank, Loeppky worked as an analyst for Healthcare Corporate Banking at Bank of America.

Loeppky received his bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona, a master's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri, and a master's degree in health administration from the University of Missouri.

Warren and Claman join Buntin Group

The Buntin Group has announced the following new hires:

Evelyn Warren has been added as account supervisor. Formerly the director of strategic marketing and communications for the Ingram Book Group, Warren brings extensive retail marketing experience to Buntin.

A graduate of Florida State University, she has worked for Colgate Palmolive in New York as a trade promotion manager for the health and beauty care brands and for Ryan Partnership in Dallas as managing director.

John Claman has been named research manager. A graduate of the University of Colorado with a B.S. in business administration, Claman has more than 16 years of experience in the research field. He was formerly senior research director with MarketAide Services Inc. in Salina, Kan.
