Pinnacle Financial Partners names Hagan senior VP/manager

Pinnacle Financial Partners has named long-time financial services professional Joy Hagan as senior vice president and office manager for the company's Cool Springs office.

Hagan brings 20 years of experience from US Bank, where she most recently served as branch manager for its Brentwood office. She previously managed its Brentwood, Green Hills and Belle Meade offices.

Hagan holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee and attended the Vanderbilt School of Banking.

BSA promotes Smitherman to director of sales position

Brentwood Services Inc. (BSI), a specialty insurance brokerage firm, has promoted John Smitherman, CPCU, AIC, to the position of director of sales for Brentwood Services Administrators Inc., its affiliated company.

In 2003, Smitherman was promoted to regional claim director, overseeing the claims process for offices in Georgia, Montana, North Carolina and Tennessee. As claim supervisor, Smitherman was responsible for managing a BSA claim unit. He began his career with the firm in 1992 in the claim trainee program.

A 1989 graduate of Lipscomb University, Smitherman holds a bachelor of science degree in finance and economics.

InfoWorks names Herrman as VP of marketing

InfoWorks, Inc., a Nashville-based management and IT consulting firm, has named Sue Herrman as vice president of marketing.

Herrman brings more than 20 years of management and sales experience in technology consulting services to her new role at InfoWorks.

She will oversee all marketing and sales efforts for the firm, and will be responsible for identifying new and maximizing existing business opportunities.

Previously, Herrman served as a senior account executive at Gartner Inc. Prior to joining Gartner, she was with IBM for 17 years and held a number of management positions, including area sales executive for the Southeastern United Sates, territory manager for the Mid-South, and sales manager for the national marketing division.

Herrman received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas Tech University.

Shea named president/CEO at YWCA of Nashville

Patricia Glaser Shea has joined the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee as president and chief executive officer.

Shea brings 20 plus years of health care and human service experience, working in both corporate and nonprofit environments. She most recently served as the president and CEO of the Arthritis Foundation, Tennessee Chapter. Shea has also held leadership positions at Family & Children's Services, HCA and Quorum Health Resources.

Gish, Sherwood & Friends adds four employees

Gish, Sherwood & Friends (GS&F), a Nashville-based full-service marketing agency, has announced the additions of Mercer Leggett, Becky Lannom, Adrian Hurd and Celeste Root.

Leggett joins GS&F as a traffic manager. Leggett is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she received a bachelor's degree in English. Prior to joining GS&F, Leggett was with both Bohan and The Buntin Group.

Lannom joins GS&F as a traffic coordinator. Previously, Lannom was with Progeny Marketing Communications Inc. and Ericson Marketing Communications Inc. Lannom received an associate's degree in business/administration from Columbia State Community College.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Hurd joins GS&F as a media coordinator. Hurd received a bachelor's degree in communications/advertising and was previously a service and strategic planning intern at White, Thompson, Cunningham and Regan.

Root joins GS&F as a media coordinator. Root is a graduate of the University of Missouri, where she received a degree in strategic communication.

Cumberland Bank promote Gregory at banking center

Cumberland Bank has promoted Al Gregory to assistant manager of its Franklin banking center on South Royal Oaks Boulevard. Previously, he was a customer service representative.

Gregory is a member of the Williamson County/Franklin Chamber of Commerce and the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County. Prior to joining Cumberland Bank in 2003, he was a financial services representative with the former Franklin National Bank.
