Nashville Red Cross names LaGreca CAO

The Nashville Area Red Cross has hired Roger LaGreca to run the chapter's newly formed advancement office.

As CAO, LaGreca will spearhead all fund-raising efforts and will oversee the Financial Development and Communications departments.

LaGreca comes to the Nashville Red Cross after managing all account executives nationwide for Kintera Inc., a San Diego-based firm that provides online marketing and fund-raising solutions to nonprofits. Prior to working with Kintera, LaGreca worked in marketing and fundraising for nonprofit organizations, including the San Francisco Symphony.

Bohan hires Nelson as senior VP, ECD

Scott Nelson has joined BOHAN Advertising|Marketing as executive creative director and senior vice president.

Nelson previously was executive creative director for J. Walter Thompson in Atlanta. Prior to that, he was associate creative director for Foote, Cone & Belding in Los Angeles and a copywriter at Leo Burnett in Chicago.

Among the accounts Nelson has overseen or written for are Bridgestone Golf, U.S. Virgin Islands Tourism, Universal Studios, Mazda, the U.S. Forestry Service, the U.S. Marines, Sunkist, Miller Beer, McDonald's, Kraft and Orkin.

At JWT, Nelson was group creative director from 1996-2000 and executive creative director from 2001 until joining BOHAN.

He earned a journalism degree at the University of Kansas.

McGuire joins SunTrust as VP, city executive

SunTrust has announced the hiring of Scott McGuire as group vice president, city executive and business banking team leader for its retail line of business.

McGuire, who will be responsible for Rutherford and Wilson counties, brings more than 15 years of lending and financial services experience, with a strong background in commercial lending.

McGuire received his bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University and is a member of the MTSU College of Business Advisory Board.

Civic Bank & Trust hires Hankins, Jones as VPs

Chad Hankins and Mary Jones have been named vice presidents of Civic Bank & Trust, a newcomer to Nashville's financial institution community.

Hankins has been tapped as vice president and relationship manager. A native of Marietta, Ga., and a graduate of Belmont University, Hankins has been in the banking business for nearly a decade, with experience in investments, management training and private banking. Most recently, he was with private client financial services at First Tennessee Bank.

Jones, a graduate of the Southeastern School of Commercial Lending, has been named vice president and commercial relationship manager. She most recently held the same position at the Bank of Nashville.

Pinnacle Financial Partners welcomes Cox as senior VP

Veteran financial services professional Clark Cox has joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as senior vice president and financial advisor.

Cox, a certified public accountant, brings 22 years of experience most recently from AmSouth/First American where he served as a special assets relationship manager. Prior to that, he was a credit review officer at First Union National Bank.

Cox attended Auburn University and holds a master's degree in business from the University of Alabama.
