Powell Creative adds pair

Music Row-based branding and interactive firm Powell Creative has named Sheri Young as account services director and Tiernee Harris as social media coordinator.

Young was formerly director of marketing for Woodridge Development, Inc. Prior to that, she served as director of sales and marketing for Healthsource Rx, a subsidiary of Cigna/Healthsource.

Harris was previously a communications intern for the Nashville Health Care Council, a publicity intern for Warner Music Nashville and an artist management intern for O-Seven Artist Management.

TPAC hires trio

The Tennessee Performing Arts Center has hired Kate Lowry as group sales manager, Timothy Hiehle as digital content manager and Kristy Reuter as development assistant.

Lowry, who worked in sales management for Dell Computers before joining TPAC, will manage group sales relations for corporations and universities, and will oversee TPAC’s tour and travel industry involvement.

Hiehle, a videographer, editor and photographer, will be responsible for creating new media content to promote TPAC’s programming, brand and educational mission.

Reuter, formerly of the Nashville Symphony, will support TPAC’s Annual Campaign, the TPAC Gala and TPAC education efforts.

Kraft division head named to ownership ranks

KraftCPAs has admitted as a member Gina Pruitt, the managing director of its information systems assurance and consulting division.

Pruitt becomes the 16th member at KraftCPAs, which was founded in 1958 and is home to more than 150 professionals at its offices in MetroCenter, Columbia and Lebanon. She joined the firm in 2010 and now works in IS assurance and consulting, risk management, internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley testing, service organization control reports, network security and vulnerability assessments.

Before coming to Kraft, Pruitt spent a decade at Deloitte & Touche, both as partner in charge of its Nashville practice of enterprise risk services and as Southeast director for internal audit services.

Waddey & Patterson adds associate

The Nashville law office of Waddey & Patterson has added Bethany Whelan as an associate. Whelan, a registered patent attorney, will concentrate her practice areas on patents involving nutraceuticals, chemical engineering, pharmaceuticals, bioengineering and life sciences.

Whelan obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Vanderbilt University Law School, at which she served as a MacArthur Foundation Law and Neuroscience Project research assistant and was part of the Vanderbilt Intellectual Property Association. She completed undergraduate work in chemistry at Vanderbilt, where she graduated magna cum laude.

As an intern with Pfizer Global Research and Development, Whelan conducted NMR screenings to identify lead compound material for future drug optimization. Whelan also completed undergraduate research on dual organic synthesis and biophysical chemistry projects that she presented to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Since 2011, Whelan has worked as a mediator with the Nashville Conflict Resolution Center, and she currently serves on the board of directors for the Tennessee Young Lawyers Division of the Nashville Bar Association.

Frost Brown Todd adds associate

The Nashville law office of Frost Brown Todd has added Jessica E. Lingo as an associate.

Lingo will focus her practice in the labor and employment group. She will work with Mekesha Montgomery, member-in-charge of the Nashville office and a member in the labor and employment department.

Lingo earned her J.D. at Northwestern University School of Law. She also studied English at the University of Oxford and received her undergraduate degree in English at Emory University.
