A San Francisco technology services company announced today that it is setting up an operation in Nashville.

ServiceSource recently leased 30,000 square feet of space in the former CNA building now named Commerce Center East. The company will employ 125 and joins Kroll Inc., which recently signed a lease for 90,000 square feet in the building.

The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Partnership 2010 made the announcement earlier today at a quarterly meeting of investors in the economic development partnership.

Laurie Priddy, a ServiceSource senior vice president, said 11 cities were considered. Nashville won in part because of location to many of the company’s clients, which are on the East Coast. According to the company, it founded the “service performance management industry” and its client list includes Adobe, AT&T, GE Healthcare, Microsoft, Motorola and Sun Microsystems.

Priddy also said she and other officials spent several days recruiting here and found that the workforce closely matched the company’s needs, noting particularly the region’s stability and that people once here want to stay here.

“That was very attractive to us,” she told the crowded room at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.
