Area home closings continue to improve, according to the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors figures.
The Nashville-area closed the third quarter up 26.2 percent with 7,446 homes sold in the summer.
Year-to-date, sales are up 25.2 percent. September saw 2,266 home sales, 23.7 percent more than in September 2011. Also in September, homes sold for a median average of $175,000, up 7 percent from September 2011 numbers.
Condominiums sold for an average of $153,900 in September, up 6.2 percent compared to the previous year’s same month
