58-year-old gunned down in condo

Metro Police are looking for information to help solve a Wednesday night homicide in Madison.

North Precinct detectives want to know who shot 58-year-old German Franco at his Ellington Place condominium. A witness to police that Franco answered a loud knock on his front door at 9:15 p.m. He was heard telling a person or persons to go away.

Moments later, Franco was found shot, lying in the hallway near the front door of his condo. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died early Thursday morning.

Anyone with information about Franco's murder is urged to contact North Precinct detectives at 862-7901 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

Why was he taken to Vanderbilt when Skyline is less than 5 minutes away?

No, it's from Kosh Naranek, the Ambassador from the Vorlon Empire in the tv series Babylon 5. It was on from 93-98 (plus several followup tv movies) and is available on dvd from the library; well worth watching. It's far superior to any Trek series.
Kosh was my favorite character though I am not nearly as old(by a bilion years or so) nor am I as powerful and intelligent. :(

Kosh, good question. I assume because of Vandy's trauma center.
