Adrian Henry was sentenced to 40 years in prison today after pleading guilty to killing his girlfriend and setting her body on fire in August 2010.
Henry’s 40-year sentence for second degree murder will be served consecutively with a 20-year sentence he is currently serving. He was on parole at the time of the killing.
22-year-old Saret Vit was set on fire and discovered in a field in North Nashville on August 12, 2010. She was burned beyond recognition, but an autopsy revealed that her cause of death was strangulation.
Henry had been the last person seen with her, and when police questioned him, he had burns on his face and hands.
Burn him to the death
Better late than never.
40 years?..............?.....................?.....................That's it? You mean they didn't sentence him to be burned at the steak? And Joan of ARK was a christian!
So he was in jail for about 8 or 9 years for attempted murder, now he is back in jail for killing Saret and he still doesn't get "life in Jail ?"....he may be able to get out in 40 years, but often criminals only have to serve half of their sentence.....so he could be out by the time he is 49.......this is so sad. Adrian should have to spend the rest of his life in jail. He killed a sweet, sweet person and she deserves better than this. Our justice system as wronged the victim.
