Police arrested a napping 18-year-old man Tuesday afternoon after they said his fingerprints were found at a neighbor’s house that had been burglarized early Tuesday morning.
Rezgar Gunkdy, of 3001 Bluffhollow Gap, is charged with aggravated burglary and felony theft for allegedly breaking into a woman’s home on Deer Valley Trail in southern Davison County at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The woman told police she was awakened by a noise in her home and then screamed when she saw a man in the doorway to her bedroom. The man fled, taking a 42-inch Samsung television with him.
According to police, fingerprints found at a rear storm door and later processed matched Gunkdy’s.
The suspect refused to be interviewed by detectives and is now jailed on charges of aggravated burglary and felony theft.
