Amber Alert issued for Florida child seen in Nashville

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert Wednesday for a missing Florida child after he and the man he is believed to be with were spotted in Nashville.

Florida law enforcement officials issued an Amber Alert for 16-month-old Waylan Snipes, who was last seen with William Snipes, 36. That alert expanded to Nashville after the two were spotted in the Rosa Parks and Jefferson Street area around noon Wednesday.

Waylan Snipes is described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes weighing approximately 23 pounds and about 2 feet tall. William Snipes is a 6-foot-4-inch white male with brown hair and blue eyes and of an unknown weight.

The two were last seen in a two-door, single-cab 1996 Tan Chevy S1 pickup truck with an Alabama license plate reading 26A55B8. The vehicle also has a red, white and blue Army sticker on the tailgate and damage in front of the rear tire on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Waylan Snipes was last seen wearing gray pajama pants with red fire trucks, white socks and a diaper.
