Police are searching for two suspects who robbed the Belle Meade Jewelry & Repair shop Monday morning.
The suspects entered the store in the Belle Meade Plaza shopping center at 4522 Harding Pike at 10:47 a.m. Monday and at first pretended to shop before one of the men pulled a gun on the clerk.
The two made off with more than $100,000 in jewelry.
Police described the suspects as two young black males wearing red Air Jordan sweatshirts, Air Jordan shoes and black pants.
One of them also wore a black and red Air Jordan hat with the price tag still attached, according to police spokeswoman Kris Mumford.
The two fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
Mumford said Monday morning’s robbery was the first time the jewelry shop had experienced any such crime but surveillance cameras captured good video of the suspects in action.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery can call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
