Brentwood police arrested Randolph Maidens, 42, at around 6 a.m. on Monday in connection with the fatal shooting of his wife inside their Governors Club home.
Later on Monday, a Brentwood Police Department spokesman said that Randolph Maidens had been charged with criminal homicide in the death of his wife, Rachael Maidens.
Police found Rachael Maidens dead in the couple’s home on Governors Way after responding to a welfare check just before 6 p.m. on Sunday.
A young child was found unharmed inside the home as well. Randolph Maidens, however, wasn’t there when police arrived, leading to an overnight search that ended just after 6:00 a.m. Monday when police spotted Randolph Maidens walking toward his home from the rear and took him into custody without incident.
The gated community where the couple lived was placed on lockdown for hours Sunday night as police scoured the area for the man.
Randolph Maidens was held in Williamson County jail in lieu of a $2.5 million bond. His initial court appearance is set for May 2 in Williamson County General Sessions Court.
