Updated at 1:25 p.m. — Brentwood police have charged Tanya Slimick, 33, with criminal homicide in the Tuesday morning shooting death of Bryan Bell, 32.

Police said Slimick called 911 at 3:43 a.m. Tuesday and told a dispatcher that she had shot her boyfriend. Officers responded to Bell’s condo at 401 Brentwood Pointe off of General George Patton Drive near Cool Springs, according to Capt. Tommy Walsh.

Brentwood police had detained Slimick for questioning Tuesday morning but charged her with homicide around midday after further investigation.

Walsh said police aren’t releasing information on a possible motive or other details at this time.

Slimick is being held at a Williamson County jail without bond.
