Two Nashville brothers pled guilty in Davidson County Criminal Court Wednesday to killing one man and wounding another during an armed robbery in November 2009.
Brandon White and Derek White each pled guilty to second-degree murder for the killing of Ryan Wright and the attempted first-degree murder of Michael Schamberg at the intersection of Sleepy Hollow Drive and Rychen Drive.
The White brothers met Wright and his friend in an SUV, where one of the White brothers was repaying a debt. While in the vehicle, the White brothers pulled guns on the two victims, killing Wright and injuring Schamberg.
As part of the plea, Brandon White will serve 40 years at 100 percent, which will run consecutive to the time he is currently serving for a probation violation. He also pled guilty to other charges connected to a separate carjacking incident, and will serve eight years consecutive to the murder sentence.
Derek White will serve 30 years at 100 percent for his role in the murder. He will serve that sentence consecutive to an eight-year sentence he is already serving.
I need some "but walk a mile in their shoes before you judge them"
Walk a mile? Why? I didn't kill anyone. IF they killed someone, that's all I need to know.
