Career opportunities explode at TSU

Tennessee State University has thrown their doors open on a combination career and graduate school fair. The Career Awareness Explosion, which will last until Friday, will feature more than 100 companies and 80 graduate schools.

The four-day event will be held at the university's main campus at the Kean Hall Gymnasium from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. It will offer opportunities for students who are seeking full-time or part-time employment, internships or co-op placement.

The first day of the event features Graduate and Professional Schools Fair, and will host colleges and institutions such as Case Western Reserve University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Louisville.

Wednesday's events turn toward the Technical Career Fair, where attendees will get a chance to visit with industry leaders such as Lockheed Martin, the Rolls-Royce Corporation and Boeing. Thursday's Career Fair features representatives from various out of state police departments, branches of the federal government, and Wells Fargo Financial. Friday is scheduled for an interview day.
