Charlotte Pike area will be site of Metro

Fourteen acres of land in front of the Wal-Mart Super Center on Charlotte Pike, including a soccer field and a historic site, are slated to become a Metro park.

The land is being given to Metro by JDN Realty Corporation as part of a promise it made to the community to donate recreational facilities. It will become the first Metro park in District 23.
