Cold, cloudy weekend looms for Nashville area

The local office of the National Weather Service is forecasting a cold and cloudy weekend for the Nashville area.

Friday through Sunday will see mainly cloudy days, with the possible exception of a bit of sun Friday, and highs no more than in the upper 40s. Lows for the stretch will be in the low-30s.

Saturday calls for a 20 percent chance of showers, with a high that could reach 51. A few snow flurries could hit Saturday night prior to midnight.
