The Metro Council will hold a public hearing vote tonight on a zoning change for 14.7 acres of Hermitage property believed to be the future site of a Super Wal-Mart.

Currently, the property is zoned industrial. District 12 Councilman Phil Ponder, who represents the area, is asking that the land located off Central Pike be rezoned to commercial services. Ponder would not comment on the possibility of a Super Wal-Mart being constructed at the location.
