Staff reports

Things you’ll notice on Saturday that will remind you of the 10th annual Country Music Marathon: street closings, altered bus routes, port-a-johns lined up at Centennial Park to accommodate the onlookers at the starting line, a similar scene at the finish line (LP Field), and thousands of runners, joggers and walkers getting in on the action.

Even if you’re not participating, the day should be a spectacle, with live music and various other entertainment lining the course for the full- and half-marathons, which share a starting point. John Rich and Cowboy Troy will handle the post-race crooning.

The race is expected to bring more than 30,000 athletes to the Music City, raising millions of dollars for various charities in the process.

And lest you overlook the disruption all this fun will bring to your driving routine, there is a course map here and a brochure detailing road closings here
