A Davidson County grand jury indicted Craig Garber, who is accused of killing three people in a Bellevue home last year, on three counts of first-degree murder last week.
Police found the bodies of Jonathan Culpepper, 14, his mother Michelle Pinkowski, 48, and his grandmother, Marylea Jordan, 71, inside their home on Sept. 2, 2012. Garber was at the scene and transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with self-inflicted knife wounds.
Garber is awaiting trial at Hill Detention Center, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held on $1 million bond.
The first-degree premeditated murder charges carry with them a minimum sentence of life imprisonment if convicted.
