Mary Frances Brent, 87, died Feb. 3, 2001. Survivors include her sons, Robert S. (Joy W.) Brent and Joe Brent; grandchildren, Eva Jaye Wilhite, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Marcia Faye Burton, Barbara Lynn Boske and Robert Staley Brent II; and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brent was a member of the Church of Christ. Her remains rest at the funeral home of Phillips-Robinson Co., 2707 Gallatin Road, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Feb. 6, and where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 7, with the Rev. Tommy Forkner officiating. Pallbearers will be Russell Linsey, J.D. Vandercook, Adam Burton, Scott Brent, Jim Boske and Robert Brent II. Interment will be held at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Marion Cecil Elsbury, 71, died Feb. 4, 2001. Survivors include wife, Carrol McNamara Elsbury; daughters, Debbie Penley and Anita Kitchen; son, Michael Elsbury; sister, Anna Mae Bridgean; brothers, Clarence D. Sterling and Ernest E. Elsbury; and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Feb. 6, at Donelson View Baptist Church, 2049 Lebanon Pike, with the Rev. Gordon Donahoe officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Deadrick, Mo. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Donelson View Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of services today.

Guy Mims Fogg, 71, died Feb. 4, 2001. He was preceded in death by parents, the late William Guy and Pearl Harrison Fogg; son, Ronald Fogg; and granddaughter, Neely Ann Hall. Survivors include daughters, Patty Hinson, Pam Brown and Melanie Hughen; ex-wife and dear friend, Jane Fogg; brothers and sister; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 6, at Hermitage Funeral Home, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, with the Rev. Stephen Klasek officiating. Interment will be held at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Serving as active pallbearers will be Mike Brown, Tony Savage, John Spencer, Randy Hunley, Bill Hamilton, Tim Childrey, Jim Fogg and Chris McDougal. Visitation with the family was held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. yesterday, Feb. 5.

James L. (Jack) Hicks III died Feb. 4, 2001. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Memphis State Law School. Survivors include wife, Sharon Hicks; daughter, Kristin Hicks, both of Brentwood; aunts and uncles. His remains rest at the Brentwood Funeral Home, 9010 Church St. E., where the family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Feb. 6. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at the Brentwood United Methodist Church with Dr. J. Howard Olds and Dr. Jerry Smith officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Graveside service and interment will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Grandview Cemetery in Maryville, Tenn. Memorial contributions may be made to Brentwood United Methodist Church.
