Garvin, James Rickie

NASHVILLE-James Rickie Garvin, 50, died May 20, 2001. Survivors include his daughter, Terrie Garvin; one grandson; one sister, Betty Best; one brother, Bobby Garvin; and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel with Rev. Everett Hooper officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends will serve as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held today from 1-9 p.m.

Lewis, Arthur Thomas

NASHVILLE-Arthur Thomas Lewis, 43, died May 19, 2001. He enjoyed watching movies, racing and working on cars. Survivors include one son, Robert Roberts; five special friends, Dr. Andrew Gaffney, Faye Johnson, JoAnn Sanders, Joe and Kay Kukola and many caring staff members of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips-Robinson Co. Friends request memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society.

NASHVILLE-Floyd Clifton Mace, 79, May 19, 2001. He was a retired pilot with American Airlines and a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Survivors include his wife, Erna T.
