A drug complaint Wednesday night led Metro police to what they said was a would-be meth lab inside a motel room at the Murfreesboro Pike Regency Inn.

After a detective knocked on the door to the room where 31-year-old Kevin Edwards was staying, Edwards first admitted to just smoking marijuana, but he later consented to a search and acknowledged having possession of meth-making components including ground up pseudoephedrine, ammonium nitrate, salt, Coleman fuel, sulfuric acid, lithium batteries and digital scales, according to police.

Police believe Edwards has made 24 attempts to buy pseudoephedrine over the past year but was blocked at the time of purchase. He also claimed to have a pending meth case in Hart County, Ky.

Edwards is jailed in lieu of $42,000 bond on charges of initiating the process to manufacture meth, promotion of meth manufacture and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

"Regency Inn" on Murfreesboro Pike? I guess this proves you can call something anything you want, but what it is isn't determined by the name!

I'm sure some liberal just needs to sit down and talk to him kindly.
