A homeless man is in police custody Tuesday for allegedly burglarizing at least four businesses.
It was a Crime Stoppers tip that led Metro Police to arrest 42-year-old Raymond Mallory along Hermitage Avenue Tuesday. He is charged in Saturday’s break-in at A-L Compressed Gasses at 865 Visco Drive, during which $21,500 worth of tools, equipment and supplies were taken.
Police suspect Mallory may have been involved in other burglaries and a spokesman said more charges are pending.
Mallory has previous convictions for burglary, aggravated assault, cocaine possession, forgery and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
This guy having a record like he does and being able to commit even MORE crimes because he isn't locked up for the ones he ALREADY COMMITTED is a TRUE TESTAMENT to what kind of absolute failure our criminal justice system is.
Why is the sleazeball out of jail with a record like his anyway?
