Factory stores of America closing Opry-area location

The Factory Stores of America Outlet Center, once home to 78 retail stores across the street from Opryland Hotel off McGavock Pike, is up for sale after less than eight years as a mini-mall.

The 33-acre property is unpriced and listed through agent Paul Gaither of C.B. Richard Ellis Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Services. The property owner is Konover Property Trust Inc. of Raleigh, North Carolina.

The mall that was once home to 78 stores while at 100-percent capacity in the mid-1990s has dwindled to eight stores. The Linen Barn and Boot Factory both displayed
