Former Lightning 100 general manager and one time “Retro Lightning” radio show host Fred Buc pleaded guilty in early February to indecent exposure and felony reckless endangerment.
He is set to serve nearly four years of probation under the supervision of a sexual offense probation officer, according to court records.
In September, a Davidson County grand jury indicted Buc, 55, on one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of solicitation to display sex acts to a minor. Those charges were later amended and Buc pleaded guilty to the lesser charges on Feb. 6.
At the time of his arrest Metro police accused Buc of exposing himself over the Internet to someone he believed to be a 16-year-old girl but was actually a law enforcement detective in Virginia.
Buc’s attorney, Glenn Funk, could not be reached for comment Thursday evening.
Felony reckless endangerment requires a deadly weapon. I wonder what additional details are not included in the story here.
Why is it that attorneys "could not be reached for comment." They are quick to file a lawwsuit, etc., but not when their client is found guilty.

Here's a link to the page from the Criminal Court.
So, Buc was buck-naked...and he sent the image to an undercover cop operating an internet entrapment scam...I don't know whose actions are more dangerous or reprehensible...the actions of Buc and the actions of the cops are both alarming.
Buc needs a good lawyer now...I do not condone pedophilia...and i do not condone the police state. Buc is fighting a system that could easily nail anyone of us on a number of things, from unpaid parking tickets to unpaid taxes...and a whole bunch more.
Buc may be a jerk, but the system used to entrap him is unacceptable, in my view.
BTW, the image of a naked, balding, 55-year old man is not porn...it's usually quite pathetic, if not disgusting...makes one question the Intelligent Design theory.
Maybe Buc should plead down...to sending disgusting images...not pornographic ones....a jury trial would probably agree.
BTW, since when is simple nudity a criminal offense? Was the image lewd and lascivious, or was it that of a sagging, middle-aged man, desperate for a sex partner?
Loner: You are a frightening individual. I hope you do not live in my neighborhood.
Loner, he did plead down. Look at the link to the court document. They found child pornography on his laptop at home. He's a sicko.

Fred Buc, former Lightning 100 general manager and longtime radio personality, has pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and reckless endangerment for sending obscene photos to an undercover officer acting as a minor and possessing child pornography.
In September, Buc, 55, was arrested after sending webcam photos exposing himself to a Virginia police officer posing as a 16-year-old girl, according to Metro police. Authorities said they also found child pornography on his personal computer.
Prosecutors charged Buc with sexual exploitation of a minor and displaying sex acts to a minor. In a plea agreement, he admitted guilt to two lesser charges, indecent exposure and reckless endangerment, a felony.
And they live and breath amongst us gentlemen. Here is a man who has a radio microphone and dispenses his wisdom and perversion across this community. The national media is full of these guys, and quite possibly this newspapaer (The City Paper), .
We do know that this medium censors our comments, as they did mine two weeks ago. Don't think gentlemen that the "freedom of speech" is respected by this newspaper. This paper exists strickly to sell advertisement and if one of us informs on an advertiser, the tie goes to the advertiser. This newspaper exists simply because of the "freedom of the press". Unfortunately, this newspaper does not honor our "freedom of speech". How sorryful it is in America!
Loner, I suppose it explains a lot about your opinions that you apparently don't read or don't comprehend an article before commenting on it.
I dont want to sound too creepy, but wanting to have sex with a 16 yr old girl is not "pedophilia" It's certainly illegal, and very creepy...
