Franklin Road Academy head football coach David Pack was arrested for patronizing prostitution on Thursday. He resigned from his position on Friday, the school confirmed.

According to an arrest affidavit, Pack responded to an ad on and agreed to have sex with an undercover police officer for $150. Pack's arrest at around 6 p.m. was part of a sting at the Sleep Inn motel at 3200 Dickerson Pike.

Pack was hired as FRA's head football coach after being named Girls Basketball Coach of the Year by The Tennessean in 2008, when he led Ensworth High School to a state championship.

In addition to coaching, Pack is also the assistant to the head of school at FRA, and served as dean of students at Ensworth, according to their website.

FRA didn't respond to a message left seeking a comment, and calls to Pack's home on Friday weren't immediately returned. Pack was released from jail Thursday on a $2,000 bond.
