Franklin police seeking burglary suspect

Franklin detectives have asked the public for help finding a recent home burglary suspect.

According to Franklin police, Anthony Sheffield Jr., 25, kicked in the door at 650 Edgewood Boulevard, Lot 38 just before 1:30 a.m. on April 20, attacking the homeowner and taking cash from the residence.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

A convicted felon, Sheffield is a black male, 5-feet-9-inches tall, weighing 185 pounds. He may be driving a blue 1997 Dodge Neon bearing Tennessee plate 583-WHG. Sheffield should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone spotting Sheffield or the vehicle is encouraged to call 911. Information on his whereabouts could be worth up to $1,000 by calling Williamson County Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000. The public can also send an anonymous tip to Franklin Police by texting the keyword 615FPD, along with a message to 847411.
