why would the police endorse a convicted thief?
slzy which one is the convicted thief?
FOP?who is that?they are about as relevant as the horse and buggy. there endorsement means nothing, all their members live out of county!
Nice of them to puss out on a few endorsements.
is twice arrrsted shoplifter clue enough?
Can't verify any convictions anywhere. After serving for eight years as Councilman At Large and as Vice Mayor, Mr Steine ran for US Congressman Bob Clements' seat but withdrew from the race in April 2002. He was arrested for shoplifting on two separate incidents from a local Target store in 2001. He also resigned as vice mayor. Part of the public’s amazement regarding Steine has to do with the fact that, in the words of one observer, “he could have bought the entire store.” Steine’s wealth is such that he really has not needed steady employment his entire adult life. On September 11, 2007, Steine won an election for a Metro Council at-large seat and feels he deserves yet another four years! That will make 16 years for him in total. Looks like the voters have forgiven and just plain forgotten, huh?
i can't find how the cases ended either, maybe ronnie could chime in here and explain what happened.
i guess you could excuse one arrest ,maybe ronnie was sick the day they covered shoplifting at law school. but twice?
Who cares what union or group backs who? Please people vote by what you know of the corruption going on in local government now. Karl spending like a drunk sailor! Then there's Reibling (sp), acting like he has to answer to know one about his double dealings. We don't need people like this running Nashville business!
Ah yes. Spending is always bad no matter how much it benefits us.
I just want OUT of the trap of all these small minds.
macjedi - Please do list ALL of those benefits!
Well, let's see...
