The Metro Nashville Public Health Department will on Dec. 1 begin offering H1N1 injectable vaccinations to anyone seeking the shot.

For more than two months, the vaccine had been restricted to those who met certain at-risk criteria. The local health department relaxed its restrictions on recommendations from the Tennessee Department of Health.

H1N1 FluMist nasal spray vaccine is available free to those ages 2-49 without underlying health conditions, and not pregnant.

The Health Department's free H1N1 FluMist and H1N1 flu shot walk-in clinic, located at 311 23rd Ave. N., will be open from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

The latest information about H1N1 influenza and flu vaccine is available on the Web at www.health.nashville.gov or by calling 340-7775.
