Heavy rainfall looms for area

The Nashville office of the National Weather Service has placed Davidson County under a hazardous weather outlook, as showers and thunderstorms loom for Monday and Tuesday.

For Monday night, the chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Expect a low of about 51 degrees.

For Tuesday, the forecast calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 p.m., then showers afterward. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Expect a high of only 59. Winds will reach 15 miles per hours, while the chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
