A salesman at Hickory Hollow Mall faces charges of allegedly running a fence operation from a kiosk he operated inside the mall.

According to Metro police, undercover detectives sold 28-year-old Behzad Salmani $3,500 worth of electronics, including flat-screen TVs, cameras and video game systems for $590 in a sting operation Monday. Salmani allegedly knew the items were stolen when he bought them on three different occasions Monday.

Salmani, of Shihmen Court, operated the Silver Land jewelry kiosk on the upper level of Hickory Hollow Mall, according to police. Authorities say Salmani allegedly would request officers posing as thieves target high-end homes to steal certain high-value items like iPods, iPads and gold.

Salmani, police said, later met with the undercover officers in an area of the mall not covered by security cameras to buy the items before moving the items to a store front he rented in the mall.

Police charged Salmani with three counts of felony theft.  He is free on $7,500 bond.

I'd be fine if Hickory Hollow / Antioch would get sucked into the ground by a giant sinkhole.
