Hillsboro/Green Hills schools consider adopting International Baccalaureate Program

Five schools in the Green Hills/Hillsboro area are exploring an elite educational program designed to give students a broader international education that could ultimately lead to attending foreign universities.

Representatives from Hillsboro High School, J.T. Moore and Stokes middle schools and Percy Priest and Julia Green elementary schools met Friday to explore the feasibility of an International Baccalaureate Program (IBP).

Supporters of the program say it could allow Metro public schools to be more competitive with private schools.

The IBP is a result of international schools
