The westbound lanes of Interstate 24 just west of Briley Parkway are closed due to a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Web site.

The crash at mile marker 42.8 was reported at 12:20 p.m.

All lanes are blocked with westbound traffic being diverted to alternate routes.

Preliminary reports indicate that fuel is leaking from the truck. Hazardous materials crews have been called to the scene.
