Nashville Fire Department investigators believe a house fire at 313 Randy Road late Friday night was intentionally set, and they’re seeking more information on the crime.
Fire personnel responded to the fire at just after 10 p.m. Friday and following an investigation have determined that someone burglarized the home before the fire was intentionally set.
According to the investigation, suspects broke into the home after 9 p.m. Friday, through a back bedroom window. The residents were out of town at the time of the incident.
Fire officials encourage anyone with information about the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 74-Crime or the Arson Hotline at 1-800-762-3017. The Arson Hotline is answered 24 hours a day and those who call may remain anonymous when providing information. Cash rewards are offered for information leading to an arrest or conviction related to the fires.
