Metro police have charged a juvenile with aggravated robbery after he and another suspect allegedly robbed a 74-year-old Hermitage woman at gunpoint inside her home.
A canine officer and his police dog apprehended the 17-year-old at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, 45 minutes after the victim said two suspects forced their way into her home on Stoner Valley after she answered their knock on the door.
The juvenile, according to police, then pointed a gun at the woman’s head while the other suspect, whom police did not identify, combed the home looking for items to steal.
Officers in the area later spotted two individuals walking on Tyler Drive matching the suspects’ description. The two suspects ran in different directions, and police were able to catch the 17-year-old suspect.
Police said he later admitted his involvement in the robbery.
