Metro Police are searching for 16-year-old Jacdouglas Deon Buford in connection with the fatal shooting of another teen who was celebrating his birthday Saturday night.

Buford allegedly shot Demetrice Jones, who would have turned 17 on Tuesday, on the front porch of a home at 1743 Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, police said. Jones was attending a birthday party at the residence when he was fatally shot at 10:20 p.m.

Witnesses gave police information that led to the identification of Buford as the shooter.

Although a motive has not been determined, detectives have obtained a Juvenile Court arrest order charging Buford with criminal homicide.

Buford, who is last known to have lived on Cephas Street, is considered to be armed and dangerous, police said.

Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is urged to immediately contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

I love birthdays oh so very much....that being said, every year since I was 13, I've had a party on my birthday which last the whole week of my birthday because I could never get anyone organized for my actual Birthday Parties or it fell on a school day or something. It makes my birthday week pretty awesome
