It's certainly the right time for a food drive in Nashville.

The Letters Carriers' Food Drive, the largest single-day undertaking of its kind, is Saturday, May 8, from 5-6 p.m. at 815 Hangar Lane in Nashville.

Last year, the drive collected more than 100,000 pounds of food for Second Harvest Food Bank, which is in need after having supplies depleted from its MetroCenter headquarters in last weekend's flood. They're using the warehouse on Hangar Lane because the food bank is still flooded out of its central office.

Visit the Second Harvest website for more information.
