Local pilot competing in World Air games

A Nashville pilot and two of his crew members are competing in the second World Air Games in Spain, an event drawing 5,000 athletes and officials from 80 different countries.

Julian Tune, pilot, and his teammates are competing in the hot air balloon events that will take place through Friday. The team stood in 85th position as of Wednesday, and two other pilots currently rank in the top 10.

Glen Moyer, spokesman for the Balloon Federation of America, said that the United States holds a prominent place in the world competition.
