When all you want to do is cop a buzz on the fairway, leave it to the government to intervene.

Transportation Security Administration officials picked up 42-year-old Donald Larson at Nashville International Airport's Southwest Airlines ticket counter on Wednesday, after being called to examine a questionable package in his luggage. Turns out Larson had 12 grams of marijuana and pills that appeared to be the drug Ecstasy wrapped in black electrical tape and affixed to the grips of his golf clubs.

As he realized what was happening, Larson tried to flee, according to an arrest warrant. He was detained and arrested on site.

Larson, who lives in the Brentwood area, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to sell for the Ecstasy, which the federal Drug Enforcement Agency considers a Schedule I non-narcotic. He posted a $25,000 bond on Wednesday and is scheduled to appear in court March 16.

In 2008, Larson was listed on a Federal Election Commission report as a “director” at LifePoint Hospitals. That affiliation also shows up in a 2008 listing of donors to the United Way of Williamson County.

A spokeswoman for LifePoint Hospitals did not confirm nor deny that Larson was employed there, citing confidentiality arrangements. She said a director at LifePoint is a mid-level staff position.

The City Paper left a voicemail message at Larson’s home. He did not return the call as of this writing.

I want to know who's going to arrest the politicians like the Bush's, Clinton's etc for smuggling drugs for years into the country for years through the CIA?
Why are they allowed to get away with it and I am referring to the Tatum Cronicles for one.

Me thinks it'll be the one-armed man behind the grassy knoll who'll arrest them. :-)

what a dumb*ss! you tape it to your body. like inner thigh. that's what i always did. but now they got the neckid scanner so you'll probably get shot because they think it's a b*mb! i don't think BNA has it yet, but i wouldn't want to risk it. it's just not worth it any more. i think UPS is the better plan, or just drive. flying sucks anyway! f**king 9/11! either way his plan was stupid. Big Bro is loving this one. this guy's had some big time white collar jobs, so this will be a very profit rich case for the state and the feds. how will they spend all the money they are about to steal from this menace to society? oh i know they can give it to ACORN! lmao! hey, eastnash, watch out for those black helicopters. i think they're on to us!
