Man arrested for climbing fence, breaking into plane at airport

At around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, American Airlines workers said they found 28-year-old Ram Porat aboard an aircraft.

When police arrived and asked Porat what he was doing on the plane unauthorized, he said “I own the world,” according to a police affidavit.

Porat was charged with an airport security violation, vandalism and trespassing after scaling a fence and accessing a plane in a restricted area. He bonded out of jail for $14,000 Sunday, according to records online.

“It was something I wanted to do and an obstacle I wanted to overcome,” Porat told police, according to the affidavit.

Police arrested Porat last week on DUI and drug charges after allegedly finding 15.7 grams of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop.

A phone number listed for Porat was disconnected. Airport officials did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

So let me get this straight. The a-holes at the Airport Authority and Airport Police, who will harass you for sitting too close to a fence on public property with a three year old, watching planes take off... ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN?!?

Not only do they forget they work for the taxpayers when we dare use their public land, but they can't secure it when it REALLY matters, INSIDE the perimeter?

Forget BLACK MAN.......what if this dude had been an American of Arab descent. Would he still be walking around? Would the coverage had been as limited as it is?
Why isn't this on CNN as a breach of Homeland Security? Would everyone be joking around like this if the guy had been Muslim? Hmmmmmmm............
