Metro detectives charged a man with attempted murder after he allegedly hit, kicked and choked his girlfriend inside a south Davidson County bar early Tuesday morning.

According to police, a witness claimed Leonel Ramos attacked 42-year-old Anna Cruz when she wanted to close at 2:30 a.m. the Guadalajara Bar at which she worked and because of a lack of customers.

Ramos, 32, had been playing pool at the bar, located 15118 Old Hickory Blvd., when he got angry that Cruz wanted to shut down the business, police said, adding that he fled after the attack but was later found on Ocala Drive late Tuesday afternoon.

Cruz suffered major injuries and remained in life-threatening condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, police said Wednesday afternoon.

Ramos is in jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.

That's all we need, two more Hispanics eating at the public trough; one in the hospital unable to pay her bill and the other one in jail. It don't get any better than this. Reckon how many kids they have between them that will be care for and fed by the taxpayers.

Haha!! All I can do is laugh at the stupidity of the above comment. Let me guess you are a "birther" too. Don't you know that your "kind" is played out? I don't think anyone gets offended of racist remarks such as yours any more. All we can do is laugh.
