A several-hours-long standoff in Forest Hills following a domestic dispute and involving a Metro SWAT team ended around 5 a.m. Friday when Ricky W. Greene surrendered to police.
After being called to a home in the 6200 block of Hillsboro Pike shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday and following a report of gunfire, police arrested Greene on an especially aggravated kidnapping charge.
There, police said Greene confronted his ex-girlfriend and her 19-year-old on the back deck of their home. Greene allegedly fired a gun once into the air, chasing the women into a bedroom, where he forced them to remain for some time.
Greene allegedly released the women before the SWAT team arrived but remained in the bedroom for hours until police sprayed a chemical agent into the bedroom.
Greene was taken to a hospital for evaluation of pre-existing medical and psychological issues. Police arrested Greene last Saturday for allegedly violating an order of protection on his 47-year-old ex-girlfriend.
He had also been free on bond after police charged him with burglarizing the same home on Jan. 31 and harassing his girlfriend over the telephone.
