Metro Police say a citizen’s tip about a suspicious vehicle parked outside an Antioch business led to the arrest of a UPS supervisor who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from packages.

Police say they received a tip that a Honda Accord parked on Dana Drive had marijuana inside. As officers were investigating the car, a UPS truck driver delivered the suspect, Richard Traughber, to the scene.

Traughber, 31, acknowledged it was his car and that there was marijuana inside the vehicle, police said.

Police say they seized approximately $15,000 worth of jewelry; including a Rolex watch, rings, and necklaces from the car as well as marijuana, various pills and a digital scale.

Traughber allegedly admitted he had pawned items stolen from UPS packages in the past.

He is charged with three counts of felony drug possession, theft, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and is being held in lieu of $37,000 bond, according to police.
