A man who tried to flee the state following a series of rapes and aggravated robberies in South Nashville was convicted by a Davidson County jury on Thursday.
Olbin Euceda was found guilty on one count of rape of a child, four counts of especially aggravated kidnapping and one count of aggravated robbery in his first trial.
Euceda held a woman at gunpoint and entered her apartment in November 2011. He tied up two people, while he sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl and stole electronics, jewelry and cash from the residence.
Euceda pleaded guilty to two additional aggravated robbery charges from the same case prior to yesterday’s conviction.
He faces multiple other felony charges stemming from similar robberies in South Nashville.
Euceda will face sentencing on April 24. His co-defendant Rony Sorto is set to go on trial on Aug. 19.
