Williamson County Schools will remain closed on Monday even after enforcement officials conducted a manhunt for school district maintenance worker Jeff Vaughn.
The district announced Sunday night it would close schools on Monday according to a release on the district's Facebook page. Authorities captured Vaughn Sunday night, but school officials decided to keep the schools closed for Monday.
Officer's with the Williamson County Sheriff's Department had searched for Vaughn over the weekend in connection to "an incident that allegedly occurred near his home."
The release stated, "There is no known threat to our schools, students or staff, but in an effort to assist the Sheriff's Department in the search, Williamson County Schools will be closed tomorrow to allow the Sheriff's Department extra time to locate Jeff Vaughn. Extended care will also be closed."
