Marina proposed for Cumberland River site

A group of investors, including Varallo Investment Properties, are pursuing the purchase of 40 acres of riverside property to construct a $14 million marina project between Downtown and Opyland.

Investor Jim Varallo says the project is in the early planning stages. Metro Public Works interim director Randall Dunn met with the investors more than two weeks ago to talk about preliminary plans. The next stop will be to meet with officials in Metro
